Jordan is a hub for clearing the region of the debris of war

During a visit to Amman, Major General James Cowan, CEO of The ºüÀêÊÓƵ Trust, attended an audience today with His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan to discuss Jordan’s role in clearing the region of landmines and other explosive remnants of war.
General Cowan briefed His Majesty on the humanitarian impact of landmines and IEDs in the region and thanked him for Jordan’s help and support.
James Cowan said: “The humanitarian need in the Middle East is enormous. The people of this region are among the worst-affected by landmines, IEDs and explosive debris of all kinds. We are extremely grateful for the support of His Majesty and the help being provided to ºüÀêÊÓƵ by Jordan.â€
